Epithalon
Tetrapeptide studied for telomerase activation, circadian regulation, and longevity research.
Testing & quality
Every batch is supplier-tested for identity and purity and randomly verified by independent third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry.
About Epithalon
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a four-piece peptide modeled on a natural substance made by the pineal gland, the part of the brain that controls the sleep clock. It is best known in aging research for its effect on telomeres — the protective caps on the ends of DNA that shorten as cells divide.
Studies look at telomerase activity, cell aging, antioxidant genes, and melatonin and sleep-cycle signaling. Supplied as a freeze-dried research powder at 99%+ purity for laboratory use only.
What animal studies have reported
These are outcomes published in peer-reviewed animal (preclinical) research on Epithalon. They describe results seen in laboratory animals only.
- Longer lifespan and delayed tumor development in rat aging studies
- More regular melatonin and sleep-cycle rhythms in older animals
- Reduced age-related decline in reproductive cycles in rodents
Animal findings do not predict results in humans. Nothing here is a claim about human use — this product is sold for laboratory research only.
Compound classification
Synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled on the pineal peptide Epitalamin.
Mechanism studied in the literature
Investigated for upregulation of telomerase activity, melatonin synthesis pathways, and circadian gene expression in cell and animal models.
Research areas
- Telomere biology and senescence research
- Circadian rhythm and pineal-gland studies
