ARA-290
Erythropoietin-derived peptide studied for tissue protection and neuropathic pain research.
Testing & quality
Every batch is supplier-tested for identity and purity and randomly verified by independent third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry.
About ARA-290
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-piece peptide copied from one small section of EPO, the hormone that tells the body to make red blood cells. It keeps EPO's tissue-protecting effect but drops the red-blood-cell part, so researchers can study protection without changing blood counts.
Published work centers on nerve fibers, nerve pain, inflammation in nerve tissue, and protecting tissue that has lost blood flow. Supplied as a freeze-dried research powder at 99%+ purity for laboratory study only.
What animal studies have reported
These are outcomes published in peer-reviewed animal (preclinical) research on ARA-290. They describe results seen in laboratory animals only.
- Protection of small nerve fibers and reduced nerve pain behavior in rodents
- Less inflammation in nerve and kidney tissue
- Reduced tissue damage after blood flow was cut off and restored
Animal findings do not predict results in humans. Nothing here is a claim about human use — this product is sold for laboratory research only.
Compound classification
11-amino-acid peptide derived from the helix-B domain of erythropoietin (also known as Cibinetide).
Mechanism studied in the literature
Selectively engages the innate-repair receptor (heteromer of EPOR + βcR) without activating classical erythropoietic signaling. Studied for cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects in preclinical models.
Research areas
- Neuropathic and inflammatory pain research (animal models)
- Tissue protection / ischemia-reperfusion studies
- Innate-repair receptor pharmacology
- Diabetic neuropathy preclinical work
Storage
Lyophilized: -20°C, protected from light. Reconstituted: 2-8°C, use within 28 days.
Reconstitution (laboratory)
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic or sterile water for injection (USP grade).
